Dr. Melinda Ertel purchased the Brookville Veterinary Clinic in March 2025. She is a 2018 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Upon graduation, Dr. Ertel moved to Southeast Indiana where she has practiced mixed animal medicine since. She grew up in northeast Ohio on a small hobby farm that raised various kinds of poultry, rabbits and goats.

Dr. Ertel lives in Sunman with her husband, two young children, a beloved Golden Retriever named Beau and an adventurous outdoor cat named Lucy. In her spare time, Dr. Ertel enjoys spending time with her family, doing crafts, gardening, baking and sewing.

Dr. Judy Dierckman is a graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Dierckman originally purchased the Brookville Vet Clinic in 1985 and operated the small and large animal clinic up until Dr. Ertel purchased it in March 2025.

Dr. Dierckman works at the clinic two mornings a week. In her spare time Dr. Dierckman enjoys gardening, cooking, relaxing with her dog Ella, and her family and friends.
