Payment Policy

At Brookville Veterinary Clinic, payment is due at the time of service. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express as well as cash payments. We do not accept CareCredit or Scratch Pay at this time.

Patient Arrival Policy

For the safety of our patients and clients, all dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a carrier while in the waiting area. We do have several cat carriers that we are happy to loan out if you do not have one.

Please be courteous of the doctor’s time and arrive to your appointment on time. We recommend new clients and established clients with a new pet to arrive a few minutes early so that records can be reviewed and information collected.  Anyone showing up over 15 minutes late for an appointment without prior notice will be charged a late arrival fee.

No Show Policy

Due to a large number of clients not showing up for scheduled appointments, technician appointments, and surgeries, we have a no show policy. We understand that things come up unexpectedly, just give us a quick call or email to cancel and/or reschedule! Feel free to reach out if there are any questions or concerns.

Prescription Refill Policy

All prescription refill requests for large amounts, multiple medications or for multiple pets need to be made at least 24 hours in advance of anticipated pick up. This allows us adequate time to fill and prepare the medications and will cut down on wait times for clients.

Online Pharmacy/Prescription Policy

In order for outside online prescription requests to be approved, the patient must be current on their Rabies vaccination and have had an annual wellness examination in the last year from the date of the request.

Large Animal Medication Policy

To have a Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) filled or prescription medications be dispensed from the clinic, an annual herd check/exam must be done. The laws regarding medication usage and prescribing for livestock have changed in the last several years.

Core Vaccinations

We require all routine surgeries (spay, neuters, mass removals, dentals, etc.) to be current on their Rabies vaccination and DHLPP (dogs) or FVRCP (cats) vaccination. If there is no proof of current vaccination, then they will receive one at the time of surgery.
